The wine was prepared in a manner reminiscent of fortified wines from the Maury region in southern France or Porto in Portugal: the grapes were harvested late when sugar levels were much higher than usual. During alcoholic fermentation, "white brandy" alcohol (from wine distillation) was added to the wine in order to stop yeast fermentation and increase the alcohol content in the wine. After pressing, the wine was transferred to oak barrels for further aging of 10-14 years, at the end of which the different vintages were blended.

A wonderful wine to end a meal. Unlike dry wines, you can open the bottle and enjoy the wine over several days. Dark chocolate and blue cheeses will be a worthy accompaniment to this rare wine.
