1. Rules and Transparency
This policy is intended to explain transparently how we collect, use, store and share personal information when using the website vitkin-winery.co.il ("the Website"), in accordance with applicable Israeli law, including the Privacy Protection Law (Amendment 13) and the guidelines of the Privacy Protection Authority. A link to the policy is clearly displayed at the bottom of the website. Non-essential collection and processing will only be carried out with explicit consent (Opt-In).
2. Types of information collected
2.1 Information provided by the user: Name, email, telephone, content of the inquiry, and details provided in forms (contact/appointment/subscription to the newsletter).
2.2 Technical and useful information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, pages viewed, visit times, referral source, and usage events.
2.3 Cookies and similar technologies: Including measurement and marketing identifiers. Details and management – in section 6.
2.4 Third party information: Subject to law and to the necessary extent, we may receive/output information from analytics tools or advertising platforms (e.g. Google, Meta).
3. Purposes of collecting and processing information
The information will be used to (a) respond to inquiries and provide service; (b) operate, maintain, secure, and improve the site; (c) direct marketing subject to express consent and with the possibility of removal at any time; (d) analytics and measurement to improve the user experience; (e) comply with legal provisions and manage procedures.
4. Processing and sharing information with third parties
We use service providers as data processors for hosting/CDN, maintenance, security, mailing and CRM, analytics and marketing. Information will only be shared to the extent necessary and for the purposes defined, and in accordance with binding agreements and applicable law. Common examples (as needed on the site): Google Analytics/Tag Manager, Meta, Flashy, Comax, Maxstore.
5. How information is used and restricted
The information will be used solely for the purposes for which it was collected and within the framework of the permissions detailed in this policy and your consents. We do not use the data to make automated decisions that have a material impact on you without your knowledge.
6. Cookies and managing preferences
6.1 The site uses cookies for the following purposes: essential (function, security, forms) – loaded by default; analytics and marketing/media – will only be loaded after explicit consent.
6.2 When entering the site, a mechanism for managing cookie preferences is displayed, allowing selection and change at any time: Cookies settings.
6.3 You can delete/block cookies in your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may affect the operation of the site.
7. Information security measures
The Company implements reasonable and acceptable security measures (HTTPS, permission control, system updates, backups). However, there is no absolute security and it is not possible to guarantee complete prevention of unauthorized access.
8. User rights
Subject to the law, you may:
- Request inspection/export of your personal information;
- Request deletion/anonymization of information (subject to legally mandated data retention obligations, e.g. tax/accounting);
- Request correction of inaccurate details;
- Opt out of non-essential processing (cookies/marketing) and removal from mailing lists at any time.
Applications can be submitted through the Management Center: Personal information management or by email info@vitkin-winery.co.il. We may request identity verification. Acceptable processing time: up to 30 days from the date of verification of the request.
9. Legal basis for processing
The processing is based on: (a) fulfilling your request/inquiry; (b) a legitimate interest in operating a safe and efficient website, balanced with your privacy; (c) explicit consent for non-essential processing (analytics/marketing cookies and direct marketing).
10. Retention periods
We will retain personal information for the period of time required for the purposes specified and to comply with legal requirements, after which it will be deleted or anonymized in a reasonable manner. Retention periods for analytics data and mailing recipients will be determined by the relevant system settings and operational need.
11. Transfers of information outside Israel
To the extent that a transfer takes place outside of Israel (for example, using international cloud providers), we will ensure the existence of appropriate protections and binding agreements, and in accordance with applicable law.
12. Minors
The site is not intended for minors under the age of 18. If we learn that information has been collected from a child without the required permission, we will act to delete/anonymize it as soon as possible after receiving notification.
