A twist in the plot - after the 2010 vintage, which was relatively one of the warmest, comes the cool 2011 vintage from which we produce one of the most elegant expressions of our premium wines, led by Vitkin Petit Sirah, mature vines. The crop loads were stable and ranged from 400 kg per dunam to 300 kg per dunam in the original vineyards and the new vineyard, respectively. The winemaking methods and the maturation regime in wooden barrels were maintained. The wine expresses the characteristics of the variety with black raspberries, blueberries and wonderful florality. A precise balance between the wine's complexity, minerality and freshness maintain a fascinating harmony and an exceptional drinking experience. Thanks to the relatively cool vintage, the wine brings an expression of wines from cold climate regions with a fascinating, tight character and is distinctly different from the other wines in the tasting.
Petite Syrah Mature Vines is at the peak of its strength, depth and complexity of flavors. The wine will best accompany rich and aromatic cheeses, flavorful cuts of goat meat and root vegetable and mushroom dishes.
