Along with the 2012 vintage, this is one of the warmest vintages on record. Yields were stable, ranging from 400 kg/ha to 300 kg/ha in the original and new vineyards, respectively. The winemaking methods and the aging regime in wooden barrels were maintained. The heat loads that caused many problems in many wineries did not dramatically affect the quality of the grapes, proving once again that our choice of heat-loving grape varieties such as Petite Sirah is well suited to our climate and helps produce a continuous line of quality wines even in vintages that are considered problematic by many.
Petite Syrah Mature Vines is at the peak of its strength, depth and complexity of flavors. The wine will best accompany rich and aromatic cheeses, flavorful cuts of goat meat and root vegetable and mushroom dishes.
