It will be remembered as one of the best and most special vintages we have ever known. A relatively late winter with spring rains and then a surprisingly cool summer with comfortable temperatures helped extend the ripening period, allowing for the accumulation of many aromatic compounds and maintaining good acidity while maintaining a relatively slow increase in the accumulation of sugars in the grape. These conditions contributed to the creation of grapes rich in aromatic compounds and with sharp freshness, but with lower than usual sugar concentrations, which allowed us to produce balanced, complex and precise wines. Thanks to meticulous care in our mature vineyards, from pruning to harvest, low yields (300 kg to 400 kg per dunam) were obtained, with intense color, concentrated flavors and aromas.
It will go well with spicy lamb and beef dishes, especially game or duck, and strong-flavored hard cheeses.
