The 2008 vintage is considered by the Vitkin Winery to be one of the most powerful vintages we have ever known and probably the most powerful vintage of the decade. If the even-numbered vintages symbolize warm and ripe vintages and the odd-numbered vintages symbolize cooler and more elegant vintages. The 2008 vintage produced wines that demonstrate the combination of both worlds - strength and concentration of flavors of ripe fruit with excellent freshness and, above all, precision in the wine's balance. Vitkin Petite Sirah 2008 expresses this perfectly and is considered in our opinion one of the greatest wines created at the winery. The wine has only begun to reach its peak in the last two years and, in our opinion, will remain in an optimal drinking window for at least another six to eight years. This is undoubtedly one of the most impressive Petite Sirah wines we have produced at the Vitkin Winery, whose future is still ahead of us.

Petite Syrah Mature Vines is at the peak of its strength, depth and complexity of flavors. The wine will best accompany rich and aromatic cheeses, flavorful cuts of goat meat and root vegetable and mushroom dishes.
